Antique Broken Lone Star Quilt
Vibrant and impeccable Broken Lone star quilt estimating to be made around 1910’s. A true heirloom piece that showcases beautiful piecing and hand quilting by the quilter. 9 SPI stitching throughout and perfect piecing in this very difficult quilt pattern. This quilt is in near perfect condition especially for it’s age. The fabrics are strong and there is no signs of rot or shattering anywhere. There are a few tiny stains (smaller than a penny) It’s likely the stains will lift with a spot treatment or perhaps get lighter, I have not tried. Colors are strong and vibrant and show no signs of bleeding or discoloration.
Quilt Size: 74”x83”
Materials: light weight cotton in white, cheddar, red, and primitive red floral print.
Weight: lightweight no batting
Quilt found in Portland Oregon
Condition: Excellent condition. Please note this is an antique piece, and has little imperfections that reflect the story and history of the piece. Most importantly this quilt should not be cut or used for any type of projects. It should be kept as a quilt that is either showcased as a display piece, used gently as a quilt, and most importantly cherished forever.
